Ki Tisah 21-3

When you lift up

Exodus 33:12-16

Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me now your ways, that I may know you in order to find favor in your sight. Consider too that this nation is your people

Ex. 33:13 ESV

What do you want the most?

When the Eternal told Moshe that he had found grace in His eyes, Moshe had the opportunity to ask for anything from the Eternal. He could have asked for riches and honours, comfort and glory, a long life and the death of his enemies. But he didn't ask for any of those things but for what his heart wanted the most: to know the Eternal. That was the worthiest thing for Moshe rabbenu (our teacher) of all.

What would you have asked for in his place?

"...that the God of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him." (Eph. 1:17 ESV revised)
